When receiving Kentucky SNAP benefits you are given an Electronic Benefit Transfer card. Your Kentucky EBT card acts like a normal debit card, allowing you to purchase food from an approved items list with your Kentucky food stamps. Each month you are given an "allowance" that is put on your food stamp card, in order to verify the amount given to you through the Kentucky Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program you can check your Kentucky food stamp balance online or by phone. In order to check your EBT card balance online you first need to register your Benefit Security Card account through the link provided below.
Once you have registered your KY SNAP account online you can log in and check your available food stamp balance. Remember to always keep your Kentucky EBT card safe, misuse of your food stamp card may result in its confiscation, to ensure this doesn't happen remember not to sell, trade, or give away your card, PIN or benefits. Do not let a retailer trade your food benefits in exchange for cash and never loan someone else your food benefits or EBT card. If by chance you lost your card or had it stolen you can see what the process is to request a new Kentucky EBT card.
