Benefits are made available between the 4th and the 22nd of every month, based on the last digit of the client's Social Security Number. All homeless recipients receive benefits on the 4th of every month, regardless of the last digit of their SSN.

In January, recipients who would normally receive benefits on the 6th of every month, receive benefits on the 5th instead. This accounts for Three Kings Day, a local holiday.
